Peacefully at Bryant House on September 4, 2013, in her 89 th year.

Dearly loved Mum and Mother-in-law of Elaine and Evan, Margaret and Harvey, Wayne and Annette and Wendy.

Loved Nana Michie to all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Forever in our hearts.

Special thanks to all the staff at Bryant House for the care and support of mum.

A celebration of Gwen’s life was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Monday 9 September. Tributes may be left at our website www.dunstalls.co.nz . Or posted to the Michie Family, c/- PO Box 1055, Napier 4140.

Sad to hear of Aunty Gwen's passing. One of my girls said she remembered my Dad (Keith)and her together and the whole time they were giving each other cheek - which is probably what I remember most too - the wry sense of humour and ready joke.
I did manage to listen in on the live stream this afternoon and at least share a little of the service, there were some lovely things said and beautiful songs.
So, thinking of you all and feeling a little sad for your loss and for ours too as she is the last of her generation and thet were a pretty special bunch of people.
Hope you are all doing ok.

We are thinking of you today as you remember your Mum and Nana, and treasure the times we have spent with her as part of our extended families. The tie we have will always be there. She was a lovely person and it is sad that Jack and Noah will not get to know her.
