HEAVEY, Nina.

 

Passed peacefully at Atawhai Elder Care Centre on September 27, 2013, aged 97 years.

Loved wife of the late James George. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Pat and Ken Richardson, Shona and Barry Davidson, Val and Errol Dewson, Raewyn and Ross Newton, and the late Barry. Loved Grandma of her eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A celebration of Nina’s life was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Monday, September 30. Tributes may be left at our website www.dunstalls.co.nz. Or posted to the Heavey Family, c/- PO Box 1055, Napier 4140.

How we will miss your Xmas card each year and how much we looked forward to receiving it and calling on you when we were in Napier. Tony and I loved the sense of humour you had even in adverse times as when we last visited you this year.
As part of the Heavey Family, I know we will all be feeling for your family at this sad time. Thanks for the lovely chats and always your welcoming smile. You were much loved.

Was a big shock to read your death notice in today's paper, was just thinking about you last week as I drove past your place and thought of the good times we shared together. You were a wonderful neighbor to myself and Kirsten and know you loved watching her play in the back yard. You were a very special and caring person and we loved having you as our neighbor.
