Peacefully on 15 December 2013 in her ninety first year.

Loved wife of the late Vivian Were and Graham Whitehead.

Loved mother and mother in law of Maurice and Robyn Were, Allan and Judy Were, Lesley Were and Wendy Whitehead.

Loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear friend of Liz and Harold Matenga.

Requiem Mass was celebrated at Saint Patricks Catholic Church, 4 Munroe St, Napier on Thursday December 19, 2013. Thereafter burial at Wharerangi Returned Services’s Cemetery.
