Made his last Journey on 21 July 2014.

Beloved husband of the late Maureen (Chick).

Adored father and father-in-law of Marcia and Gary Heathcote; Rachel Griffiths; Susan Slater; Kim Slater and Glenda Wiffin; and Beau Slater. Best Grandfather in the world to Dayna; Jared, Millie, Sebastian, and Romy.

Special thanks to all doctors and staff at the Hawkes Bay Regional Hospital.

A Service for Steve was celebrated at the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street Napier on Monday 28 July followed by an internment at the Western Hills Cemetery.
