On November 28, 2014, passed away peacefully at Summerset in the Bay, Napier. Aged 86 years. Loving and devoted wife of Cedric who passed away 10 years ago. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of  Deborah and Mike Whale, and the late Gary Alexander.  Loved Joanie and Nan of Andrew and Kate, Charlotte, and Edward.

A service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at St John’s Cathedral, Browning Street, Napier on Wednesday, December 10 at 10.30am. Tributes may be left at our website www.dunstalls.co.nz or posted to the Alexander Family C/- P.O. Box 1055, Napier 4140.

Dear Deb, What a treasure you have lost, What a treasure we have all lost, Joan was such a wonderful lady, always gracious and bright,we had many happy times together, she will be so sadly missed. I can still remember the happy day when Patrick and I took Joan and Olive out for morning tea, they did love spending time together and it filled our hearts with Joy to see their happiness.
My love to you and the family, will be with you on the 10th
