(neé Armstrong).

Passed peacefully at home on December 31, 2015 surrounded by family.

Beloved wife of the recently deceased Brian Alfred McCarthy.

Much loved mother and mother-in-law to Wayne, Sherol and Rick, Lynette and Mark, and Brian and Linda. Adored nanna and great grandmother.

The family would like to thank all the services involved with the care of Margaret.

A service for Margaret was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11am.

Our family was very sorry to hear of Margaret's recent passing and hope she is now at peace with Brian. We will continue to treasure Margaret and Brian's lovely home and beautiful rose garden in Clive.

Margaret, I enjoyed a recent catch up you and was so glad to see that twinkle in your eye and sense of humour after such a difficult time. We feel honoured to have met you and Brian.

“Maggie Mac”

If ever there was a true lover of the German Shepherd Dog, Maggie would take first place every time, but not only just a German Shepherd lover, Maggie Mac was a dear person, she may have been the eldest of our group of friends but in our eyes she was the youngest at heart.

Maggie Mac was a kind and loving person, fantastic dog owner, exhibitor and true sportswoman - in her eyes she always took home the winner.

Maggie, thank you for your devotion to the German Shepherd Dog Breed, but more importantly to us, for your support and friendship. We know your that you will be greeted by all your dear doggie friends from Rainbow Bridge, especially your beloved Jade, it was an honour for us to have bred her for you.

Margaret always had an unconditional love of her GSDs especially the ones she bred and owned, she never had a harsh word about anyone and really enjoyed going to the shows even if she didn't have a dog entered, she really enjoyed mixing with the people that she she knew, and catching up with all the things that were happening in the GSD world. I myself always enjoyed catching up with her, the few times that I did, over the past few years, and she was one of the most loveliest people I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. Margaret always had people around her asking how she was, and she loved that. (Fiona has has asked for this to be read at Marg's service)

I am sure going to miss Maggie as I have always called her. My condolences to all the family at this very sad time, At least she is will be with Brian soon. Maggie will be with all her and my beautiful faithful German Shepherds. RIP my very dear friend. Sorry I can't come down but Wayne you know if I could I would be there.

Maggie will always be in my thoughts.
