Passed away peacefully. Cherished wife of Norman.

Treasured mother of Louise, Hilary, Miriam and loved grandmother of Louis, Stirling, Isaac, Jessica and Curtis. Sister of Janice (Dec), Lyn (Dec), Elaine and close cousin, Jill.

Special thanks to the staff of Ward 4 Hastings Hospital for their loving care of Barbara.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

A celebration of Barbara’s life was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11am.

Dan and I send our most sincere thoughts to Norm, Lou, Hilary, and Miriam today. I feel so lucky to have so many happy memories of Barb's hospitality, friendliness and tenderness to me throughout my childhood, and wise friendship and guidance for me as an adult. Much love and peace to you guys.

A friend in deed.
A cook of superb dinners.
Bags of hand-me downs from Louise, Hilary and Miriam, which kept my girls well supplied.
I always feel guilt when i remember tripping over the fondue on the brand new lounge carpet- the reason for the celebrations- I ran to the laundry, so upset and all Barbara did was follow me and tell me not to worry about it. Don"t be upset.
That was Barbara.
Barbara leaves a huge gap of love and kindness in the world.
