Passed away peacefully in her 90th year.
Much loved wife of John (deceased). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Janet (deceased), Linda and Richard (deceased), Peter and Jan. Beloved Nanny Kay of Alex, William, and Joseph. Loved step Grandmother of Toby, and Theo (both UK). Aunty Kay to her North Island nieces and nephews. Sister and sister-in-law of John and Agnes, Barney and Sheila, Rex and Ruth Moir, Gwen, (all deceased), and James. Auntie Kath to all her South Island nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff at Princess Alexandra Special Care Unit.
A celebration of Kay’s life was held in the Asher Hall, St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Tennyson Street, Napier on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11am.

Sorry to hear that Kay has passed, she and our mum Nola Ashcroft had a wonderful friendship and took great care of each other as neighbours in Wycliffe Street, and mum always looked foward to Kay visiting when she left the neighbourhood and was living at Princess Alexandra. She was a fabulous lady and we all enjoyed the times that we spent with her. Unfortunately we aren't able to attend the funeral but our thoughts are with you all.
