Peacefully at Cranford Hospice on October 3, 2016. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Dan; and most incredible Mum to Anna, and Richard. Cherished daughter of Mary Jane Darient (Sabah) and the late Alan Simpson (Scotland). Much loved sister of Sandy Simpson (Sabah). Adored Nenek of Ethan, Amelia, and Maddison. A treasured sister-in-law of Bernard (deceased), Helen, Peter, Ruth, Vince (deceased), and Robyn. Loved mother-in-law of Sonia, and Gareth.
Fiona is now at home for those wishing to say their last goodbyes.
The family wish to thank the outstanding team at Cranford Hospice who took care of Fiona with compassion and kindness. They are also grateful to the many healthcare professionals in Hawke’s Bay, Palmerston North and Wellington who looked after Fiona during her illness.
Requiem Mass to celebrate Fiona’s beautiful life was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Osier Road, Greenmeadows on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11am followed by interment at the Western Hills Cemetery. Rosary was recited in the Church on Wednesday, October 5 at 7pm. In lieu of flowers a donation in Fiona’s memory to Cranford Hospice would be appreciated and can be left via www.cranfordhospice.org.nz
