On June 29, 2017 in her 81 st year, at Colwyn House, Hastings. Dearly loved wife, best friend and constant companion of Peter for 57 years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Janet and Peter Kingsbury, Stephen and Tracey, Richard and Natasha, and Greg and Jan. Loved nanna of Jarrod, Hamish, Blake, Taine, Max and Mischa. Eldest daughter of Len and Ellen Benge. Eldest sister of Geoffrey, Carol, Sally, Marion, and the late Helen.

Grateful thanks to the staff of Summerset in the Vines and Colwyn House, and to Julia Callaghan, for all their loving care of Valerie over the last two years.

A celebration of Valerie’s life was held at Trinity Methodist Church, Clive Square, Napier, on Monday July 3, 2017.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Brain Injury Trust in memory of Valerie would be appreciated and may be delivered to our chapel. Messages to The Williams Family can be posted C/- PO Box 1055 Napier.
