HOGGE, Eric Arthur

Aged 84 years. Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Ahuriri, Napier. Dearly beloved husband of the late Diane (nee Bickerstaff). Greatly loved uncle and great uncle to his family and extended family.

A huge man with a huge heart, who will be sorely missed by us all.

A service for Eric was held at the Napier Sailing Club, West Quay, Ahuriri, Napier on Tuesday, May 29 at 10.30am. Eric, his brother Jack and their mother were friends of mine for a long time, in fact 60 years. I knew Dianne when I lived in Napier and then met Eric when I moved to Gisborne. My sister Marna worked with Eric at the Napier Education Department and they were very good friends. He was a lovely man.

To Eric's family, my Late husband Mike Harris of Dannevirke worked with Eric when he was a physical education advisor. Mike was Head of Physical Education here at Dannevirke High School. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. .
