Passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019, aged 72.

Dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Barbara. Loving father and father-in-law of Leanne and Daniel Hill, and Raewyn and Ka-te Parahi. Loved and treasured grandfather of Zavier, Rylee; Graecyn and Indianna. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Diane and Des.

A special thank you to the staff at Taradale Masonic Village for the care given to Allen.

A celebration of Allen’s life was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 10:30am followed by a private cremation.

A donation in Allen’s memory to St John’s Ambulance was collected at the service.

So sorry to hear of Allens passing, and my Sincerest condolences to the family, I would have been his first true and great mate in the 50s- and early 60s, we would have met im thinking 1951 as we lived apposite in Wellesley rd, of the top of my head,Baths, Beach Swimming, Fishing of beach and wharfes rugby HSOB. My sincerest condolences to Barbara and family with their sad loss of Allen, His suffering is over, as an ex workmate of Allen's at Pan Pac I knew him as a hard working, diligent and exceptional tradesman and as one that always took the time to help and assist his workmates, nothing was too much trouble for Allen, His love of fishing is legendary and he was an all round genuinely good bastard. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts are with you all on Tuesday as unfortunately I cannot attend the Celebrations of Allen's life due to being overseas.
