Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and close friends on 14 November 2022 aged 65 years.

Dearly loved father of Melissa and Ashleigh. Beloved brother of Jill, Robyn, and Andrew

A celebration of Clive’s life was held at the Napier Baptist Church, 36 Riverbend Road, Napier on Friday 18 November 2022 at 1pm followed by private cremation.

Oh mate. What a shock for many. Worse we hadn't caught up since pre COVID. Gunna miss you helping this damsel in distress with keys and tour humour. I had a ginger beer on your behalf at the wake. Missed the service, sigh... Kids ! I know your shaking your head at the nonalcoholic drink but to be fair we aren't in our 20s at the Garrison anymore. Anyway I wanted those reading to know. I was so sad to hear of his passing, and send my heart felt condolences to Clive's family and friends. I have known and worked with Clive for many years, whilst at LSC and now at AHS Security. He was a true MASTER LOCKSMITH, one of the very best. He loved to share his knowledge and passion for the craft, and through him, many younger locksmiths have developed. Mel, Ashleigh and families, I am so sorry for your loss.

Clive was my first boss when I left school many years ago, firstly at the shop in Gloucester Court, Taradale with Clive, the lovely Mr Johnny Johnston and Tony, then in Civic Court, Napier with Clive, Johnny and Mark.
I called Clive just not long ago and had a great chat, so very glad I did, very saddened to hear you have passed away Clive

Clive, we shared the same name and we shared the same hassles. You fixed locks and I fixed cars. You were always my first go-to-guy for locks, keys and remotes…
A true tradesman who never let me down, with stories to share when the time was there.
You will be sadly missed my friend.

Well where to start the drinks at the Cossie on a Friday, or the ice cream parlour at Ahuriri, come and see me on Monday so I walked into the shop about 10.30 what time is this we start work at 8.30, there began a long time as work mates, many gallons of black coffer a few grumbles but lots of laugh and good companionship. Rest easy my friend, have a good powwow with Mac travel safely
