Died at home in Napier unexpectedly.

Loved brother, uncle, nephew and friend of all his whanau. Ashley will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in Wairoa at a date to be notified.

A service for Ashley was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

 

Lots of lovely memories for a lovely uncle - you were always up for the games or activities. I’m sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye or let you know how much we enjoyed those special times xx Arohanui kia haere marie koe, Donnelle and Family ????

Sorry to hear about the passing of my younger brother Ashley. I have l learnt that you were a wonderful person who was loved by his family and a great teacher who loved his job and his students. Now I understand why i am not the only one who did not get to know everything about you, because you were a private person.You will be missed by all of us. Billie and family in Sydney and other parts of Australia.

Rest in peace, Ash. Lots of great memories of our time with you. Family get-togethers at Kaiaua, Papakura, Kawau Island.
Time goes by too quickly. I wish we had the chance to tell you how much we enjoyed that time, and how much you mean to us.
A wonderful uncle. Such a kind, caring, gentle person. Gone far too soon.
