Passed away at Hastings Hospital with family at his side.

Dearly loved husband of June for 53 years. Dearly loved father of Mihi (deceased) and Ivan Hodges-Northcroft, and Christine and Pete Provines. Loved and cherished by his 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dearly loved brother of Jeanette Karsten. Loved and respected by extended his whanau.

A special thank you to the staff of St. John Ambulance and Hastings Hospital ED for their care of George.

A funeral for George was held in the Colenso Pirates Rugby Clubrooms, Durham Drive, Tamatea on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11am.

A loving caring and devoted husband, father, brother who was friendly, hard working, kind and thoughtful, passionate about rugby netball and sport, enjoyed socialising plus so much more.
I have many memories of him and particularly my last conversation by phone with both George and June how ecstatic they were to speak about Christine,
Pete the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
