Passed away peacefully, Jack loved life up to the last minute.

Loved husband of the late Mae.

Beloved Father of Ann and Donald.

Much loved Grandfather of Meagan, Kellie, and Angela and Great granddad to their children.

Much loved friend to many, especially his beloved circle of neighbours.

A service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at East Pier, Nelson Quay, Ahuriri, Napier on Monday 24 June at 1.30pm. Jack was a good friend of mum and dad Margaret and Keith Dunlop I knew you dad well we visited him after my parents died so to heard Jack has passed away. RIP Jack love to the family

Jack ,it was such a pleasure to have known you. We became good friends when we moved into Hetley Crescent. I never failed to come and see you when I returned to Napier and you never failed to welcome me with a Jacks Special !!!!!
You were a real treasure. Rest in peace.

We have so enjoyed getting to know Jack over the last couple of years as part of the Hetley Sunday drinks group and beyond. His sense of fun, wisdom and kindness will be missed in our neighbourhood. It’s hard walking past knowing that Jack will not call out a hello or an invitation “ come and have a wine” . We are privileged to have spent time with him and shall miss him greatly. Hetley won’t be the same without dear Jack.
